I’m Jacob Bathanti, and Obscure Suddha is my personal blog. I’m a freelance writer with a focus on transparency and accountability, governance, and citizen security in the Global South – and the rest of the world, too. This blog reflects those interests, as well as, sometimes, other interests: literature, travel, craft beer, etc. Currently based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel to Peru and maybe elsewhere. This is my online notebook – a way of working out theory and practice, and keeping a chronicle of some of the projects on which I’m working.
